The shape outlived the job it was built for. Radnor Watch keeps the proportions, the bezel and the bracelet, and is straight with you about the rest: it stays dry.

Built to the old diver proportions

A 43mm case, a coin-edge bezel and a three-link bracelet that runs straight out of the lugs. It is polished alloy rather than steel, and at 65g it wears lighter than it looks.

A dial with nothing to read on it

Sunburst, so it runs from bright to near-black as you turn your wrist. Round markers, three batons at three, six and nine, and no date window to break the symmetry.

Four bezels, two of them quiet

Steel Black and Steel Blue go under a cuff and with everything you own. Steel Green and Steel Red are the ones people ask about. All four sit in the same polished case.

The bracelet is the honest part

Twenty millimetres wide, 23cm long, on a folding clasp with a safety catch. The links are light pressed alloy, not solid steel, and owners say so plainly. They also say it adjusts easily.

Wide on the wrist, flat under a cuff

43mm across and only 8mm deep, which is thin for a case this wide. It reads as a full-size watch from across a room and still slides under a shirt cuff without catching.

Please note: this watch is not water resistant, whatever the supplier listing may say. Rain and a splash at the sink are the limit, and it should be kept away from showers, swimming and washing up. The case and bracelet are polished alloy rather than stainless steel, which is why it weighs 65g, and buyers are consistent that the clasp is simple for the money. The bracelet is 23cm long and is sized by removing links.
