1. About these terms

This website is operated by LOCKSTEP. Throughout the site, the terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to LOCKSTEP.

By visiting lockstepshop.com or placing an order through it, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service together with the policies referred to in them: our Shipping Policy, Refund Policy and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the site.

Please read them carefully. They set out your rights and ours, and they include limits on our liability.

2. Who can buy from us

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order.

You may not use our products for any unlawful purpose, or breach any law in your jurisdiction when using this site.

3. The site and its content

We work to keep the site accurate and current, but we do not warrant that descriptions, pricing, or other content are error-free or complete.

Product images are a guide. Colour and appearance can vary between screens and between production batches. Measurements in our size guides are taken flat by hand and may vary by 1–3 cm.

We may change site content at any time without notice, but we are under no obligation to update it.

4. Products, prices and availability

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable.

Prices, promotions and availability can change at any time without notice. Products are offered subject to availability and we may limit quantities per customer or per order.

We take care to price everything correctly. If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price because of a technical or human error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full even after confirmation. We will contact you before doing so.

5. Orders and acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. The confirmation email we send is an acknowledgement that we have received it, not acceptance of it. A contract between us is formed when we dispatch your order.

We may refuse or cancel an order, including where:

the product is unavailable
there was an error in the price or the description
we suspect fraud or an unauthorised transaction
the order breaches these terms

If we cancel an order after payment, we refund you in full to the original payment method.

6. Payment

Payment is taken when you place the order. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout.

By submitting payment details you confirm that you are authorised to use that payment method and that the details are accurate. Payments are handled by third-party providers; we do not store your full card details.

7. Delivery

Delivery is governed by our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these terms. Shipping is free, and estimated delivery is 7–15 business days after dispatch.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

8. Your right to cancel, returns and refunds

If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, you have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason, and a further 14 days to send them back. This right exists independently of anything in our Refund Policy.

Beyond that, we offer a 30-day return window from the date of delivery. The full conditions — the state items must be returned in, and who pays return postage — are set out in our Refund Policy.

Nothing in these terms removes or limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been used without your permission.

We may suspend or close an account we reasonably believe has been used to breach these terms.

10. Promotions and discount codes

Discount codes and promotional offers are subject to their own terms, which we state alongside the offer.

Unless we say otherwise: one code per order, codes cannot be combined, codes have no cash value, and we may withdraw or amend a promotion at any time. Codes obtained through unauthorised means will not be honoured.

11. Intellectual property

All content on this site — the LOCKSTEP name and branding, photography, product descriptions, graphics, page design and code — is owned by or licensed to us and protected by intellectual property law.

You may view and print pages for your own personal use. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute or use our content commercially without our prior written permission.

12. Reviews, comments and submissions

If you send us reviews, photographs, ideas or other material, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce and publish it in connection with our business.

You confirm that anything you send is your own, does not infringe anyone else's rights, and contains nothing unlawful, abusive or defamatory. We may edit or remove any submission at our discretion, but we are under no obligation to monitor submissions.

13. Things you must not do

You may not use the site or its content:

for any unlawful purpose, or to encourage others to act unlawfully
to infringe our intellectual property rights or anyone else's
to harass, abuse, defame or discriminate
to submit false or misleading information
to upload or transmit viruses or any other malicious code
to collect or track other people's personal information
to scrape, spider or crawl the site
to interfere with or circumvent the site's security features

We may terminate your access for breaching any of these.

14. Third-party links and services

The site may link to third-party websites or services we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, products or practices, and a link does not imply endorsement.

Please review the terms and privacy policy of any third-party site before using it.

15. Availability of the site

We do not guarantee that the site will be available uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of it for business or operational reasons, and will give notice where we reasonably can.

16. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded — including your statutory rights as a consumer.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of opportunity arising from your use of the site or the products.

Where we are liable, our total liability in connection with an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

17. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, brought by a third party as a result of your breach of these terms or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

18. Events outside our control

We are not liable for failure or delay in performing our obligations where it results from events outside our reasonable control, including carrier failure, customs action, natural disasters, epidemics, industrial action, or interruption to telecommunications or supply chains.

19. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.

20. Termination

These terms remain in effect while you use the site. We may terminate them at any time by giving notice or by ceasing to provide the site to you. Obligations and liabilities incurred before termination survive it.

21. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page is always the current one, with the revision date shown at the top. Changes take effect when posted, and continuing to use the site afterwards means you accept them.

22. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer resident in the UK or the EU, you also have the benefit of the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country where you live, and nothing in this clause takes that away.
