Small, on purpose.
Watches got big and then they got bigger. Calder Watch is 35mm across, which is the size a watch was before anyone decided it should announce itself.

A cushion case, not a circle.
Square at a glance, round in the hand: the case is cut as a cushion, with the corners softened and the sides curving inwards to meet the bracelet. The crystal is domed, so the dial catches the light and turns as you do.
Nothing on the dial but the time. And the date.
A fine sunburst finish, applied baton markers, two slim hands and a seconds hand. No numerals, no sub-dials, no branding across the middle. The only other thing on it is a small date window on the right of the dial, which is the one piece of information you actually look for.
Four finishes.
Steel Black and Onyx Black are the two that go with everything. Steel Green is the one you buy because you already own a black one. Gold White is the dressiest of the four.

35mm, 54g, on a bracelet.
The bracelet is 18mm wide and 21cm long, on a hook clasp, and the whole watch weighs 54g. It sits flat and it goes under a cuff without a fight, which is the entire argument for a smaller watch.

Please read before ordering: this watch is not waterproof. It handles a splash and nothing more — take it off before you wash your hands, and keep it away from the shower, the sea and the pool. The case and the bracelet are a polished alloy rather than stainless steel, and it arrives without a presentation box. It is also genuinely small at 35mm; if you normally wear 42mm, expect a different watch on the wrist.
FAQ
Is it water resistant?+
Splashes only. The supplier rates it as not waterproof and says so plainly: do not wash your hands with it on, do not bathe, swim or dive in it. Rain on the walk to the car is fine. Anything past that is not.
Is 35mm going to look too small?+
It is small, and that is the point of it. 35mm is the classic dress size and it suits a slim to average wrist properly. If your current watch is 42mm or more, this will read as a deliberate change rather than a smaller version of the same thing.
Is there a date window?+
Yes, set into the right-hand side of the dial. It is the only complication on the dial. One owner puts it simply: it keeps the date and the time right.
What are the case and bracelet made of?+
A polished alloy, both of them, not stainless steel. That is what keeps the whole watch at 54g and keeps it at this price. The finish names — Steel Black, Steel Green — describe the colour, not the metal.
Does it come in a box?+
No. It arrives packed for the post but without a presentation box. If it is a gift, that is worth knowing before you order.
Does it need winding?+
No. It is quartz, the battery is already fitted, and it keeps time on its own from the moment it arrives.
Can the bracelet be shortened?+
Yes. It is a link bracelet, 21cm long as it comes, and links can be taken out at a jeweller or with a link removal tool. At 21cm it fits most wrists without adjusting.
Will it fit under a shirt cuff?+
Yes, easily. At 35mm across and 8mm deep it is one of the flattest watches we sell. It goes under a cuff and stays there.
Which finish should I pick?+
Steel Black is the safe one and goes with everything. Onyx Black is the quiet one, all of it in black. Steel Green is the one people notice. Gold White is the one for a jacket.
What buyers say about this watch
Keeps The Date Right
Simple and light, and it keeps the date and the time right. For the price I think it is worth it.
Bought A Second One
Second one I have bought. The green arrived exactly as expected, and this black one matches the picture too.
Arrived Early
Exactly as advertised and it arrived a month before the estimate. Very good looking, very elegant.
