The hardest watch to get right is the one that has to work everywhere.
An interview. A wedding. A Saturday. Steel on a bracelet is the only thing that does all three, and it is the one most men skip, because the decent ones start at three figures.

It has to work everywhere, so it does.
Aldren Watch was built for the days that change shape. A white shirt in the morning, a jumper by the evening, and nothing in between where it looks out of place.

Sunburst is why it never looks cheap.
The dial is brushed outward from the centre, so it moves from deep to bright as you turn your wrist. That is the detail separating a watch that reads as considered from one that reads as filler.

Four dials, one watch.
Racing Green, Marine Blue, Onyx Black and Arctic White, all on the same polished steel. Pick the one that suits the rest of what you own, or take the blue and work the rest out later.

A bracelet that earns its keep.
Three-link polished steel with a folding clasp that snaps shut and stays shut. Links come out to size it to your wrist, and it carries more weight in the hand than the price would suggest.

Bright enough at three in the morning.
The markers and the hands hold a green glow once they have had some light, so the time is simply there when you want it, without reaching for a phone.

Please note: this is a 3 bar watch, which covers rain and washing your hands but not swimming or showering. The bracelet fits up to roughly an eight inch wrist and is sized by removing links. The small magnifier over the date divides opinion, and owners say so in both directions.
FAQ
How large does it wear?+
The case measures around 40mm across and 11mm deep, which is the classic mid-size that sits under a cuff without disappearing on the wrist.
Is it water resistant?+
It is rated to 3 bar. That covers rain, a splash and washing your hands. It is not a swimming or showering watch, whatever the supplier listing may say.
What is the small bubble over the date?+
A magnifier moulded into the crystal that enlarges the date so it is easy to read. Some owners love it and some would rather it were not there, so it is worth knowing before you order.
How accurate is it?+
It is quartz, so it keeps time without winding. Owners of this model report drift of roughly fifteen seconds a month.
Will the bracelet fit my wrist?+
It fits up to roughly an eight inch wrist and is sized by removing links. Be warned that the retaining pins are small and fiddly, and more than one owner needed a few attempts.
Do the markers glow in the dark?+
Yes. The hour markers and the hands hold a green glow once they have had time in the light, bright enough to read the time in a dark room.
What is the glass?+
A hardened mineral crystal, chosen for scratch resistance rather than the shine of cheaper acrylic.
Can it be worn with tailoring and with casualwear?+
Yes, and that is the whole point of it. Steel on a bracelet is the one combination that never looks wrong, from a suit to a jumper and jeans.
Is it suitable for modern UK styling?+
Definitely. A plain steel watch with a legible dial is as close to a default as British menswear has.
What buyers say about this watch
No Difference
Put it beside my far more expensive watches and could not see the difference.
Looks Costly
The sunburst dial makes it look and feel like a watch worth ten times more.
Keeps Good Time
Accurate to about fifteen seconds a month, and the date is easy to read.
Lovely Blue Dial
The blue dial is beautiful. I am not a fan of the magnifier over the date.
Fiddly To Resize
Resizing the bracelet took a few goes, the pins are delicate. Great watch after.
Better In Person
The lume is great once charged, and it is better looking than the photos.
